Preveli 'Wild Thing' Sauvignon Blanc 2013

94 points

"A really interesting look at sauvignon blanc.  it's been treated with kid gloves through whole bunch pressing and fermentation in new and aged French oak.  The result is a sauvignon wine with a bit of style and panache.  Lots of spicy characters on the nose and a palate that has such depth and persistence yet all held into a focused, persistent finish.  Excellent style."

"Pale straw-green; barrel -fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak with less stirring; it has above-average complexity on the palate, with tight grapefruit flavour and a minerally structure, the oak having been marginalised along the way. Will repay cellaring."
