Preveli SSB09

2012 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc $19.95/bottle

Late spring rains followed by a mild, dry La Niña summer created a harmonious vintage.
Estate sauvignon blanc was hand picked in pristine condition then whole bunched pressed. A parcel of the Estate semillon was barrel fermented in French oak,
developing delicate texture. The nose has lemongrass and wood spice and the
lively palate expresses slate and dried herbs, with a racy finish.

"This terrific blended white wine uses a small amount of barrel fermentation in the semillon but balances it to retainits fresh zingy mouth feel. Nice mis of lemon scents and tropical fruit with a touch of citrus on the nose. It's precise and pure on the palate with a long finish. Nice wine."

"Made in a different style to the standard fare for this variety.  Wild yeast and French oak treatment has added to the comlexity and textural components.  It's steely and tight with a penetrating acid sustaining a long finish.  Nice background of melon and dried herbs." Ray Jordan 2013

'Wild Thing' Pinot Rose 2012

2012 'Wild Thing' Pinot Rosé $22.95/bottle

Wines are made in the vineyard and here Pinot Noir shows its wilder side. Tame it with
sustainable farming and placate it in the winery with attention to detail, for a unique and
inspired creation.
A parcel was selected from the Estate's distinct micro climate and hand picked, cold soaked for 48 hours, pressed and barrel fermented briefly in aged French oak. This minimalist handling evokes a rose petal and strawberry nose with a vibrant palate of crushed raspberries and cherries, with a savoury, dry finish. Serve chilled.

"This is a terrific rosé. It's more towards the drier style of Provence but with just a hint of fruit sweetness. A little oak has been used in the fermentation of the pinot adding complexity and texture to the style. Strawberry and roses on the nose with a delightful mouth feel. Excellent style."

Preveli Pinot Noir

2010 Pinot Noir $24.95/bottle

A warm summer kick started the 2010 vintage, with milder conditions
prevailing. Attentive, traditional techniques saw this Estate fruit hand picked,
then open fermenter cold soaked and hand plunged with a batch of whole
bunch maceration. An alluring nose layered with black cherries and some
dried orange rind and savoury herbs, follows through on the palate with
earthy elements, balancing acidit y and lovely juiciness. Subtlet y was created
with extended lees contact and barrel maturation in one year old Burgundian
barrels for nine months, adding a layer of texture.

"Clear crimson; fragrant red berry fruits on the bouquet have a distinct overlay of mulberry, the palate picking up all of the calling cards of the bouquet, setting them in a medium - to full-bodied framework, juicy notes offset by quality French oak and fine tannins.  Has a great future." James Halliday
